PHELIX beamline

The PHELIX beamline is designed to perform studies of the electronic structure of solids with high energy - resolution, using soft X-rays with variable polarization.

The source of X-rays will be an elliptically polarizing undulator providing radiation in the energy range 50 - 1500 eV. The beamline will be equipped with a grating monochromator with a resolving power E/ΔE∼104. The main technique will be photoelectron spectroscopy including an angle resolved option. The layout of the beamline and end-station allows using the light from the same source also for soft X-ray spectroscopy studies.
