How to get to SOLARIS

From the Krakow Główny central railway station and a coach station you can get to the SOLARIS Centre by tram using line 52 (in the direction of Czerwone Maki P+R). A single journey ticket costs 3,8 PLN (approx. 1 euro) per person. 

You have to get on the tram at the Teatr Słowackiego tram stop, which is located approx. 8-minute walk from the central railway station (see the map below). When you get off the tram at the Chmieleniec stop you should return a few steps in the direction you came from, turn left just past the Ericsson building and go straight along Luciany Frassati-Gawrońskiej street to the end (see the map below).

The journey time is approx. 30 minutes.

We also recommend using the Jakdojade.pl website, which allows you to easily find connections and plan your trip. To change language version of the website you must click on the settings button at the top-right corner of the homepage.

Tickets can be bought from vending machines for cash. Some vending machines accept credit card contactless payments. Do not forget to validate your ticket after boarding the vehicle!

The beginning of the tram journey The end of the tram journey

The Kraków Airport is located about 11 kilometres from the city centre. A taxi trip is the only way to get to the SOLARIS Centre directly.

24-hour taxi service is provided by Kraków Airport Taxi. Taxis can be ordered by phone at +48 12 258 0 258 or on-line (website in English). The cost of the journey is about 89 PLN (22 Euro). Each Krakow Airport Taxi car is equipped with a payment terminal. Dispatchers and drivers have at least communicative knowledge of English.

You can get to the SOLARIS Centre from the Kraków Airport using other taxi companies services, as well (iCar, Barbakan, Mega Taxi, Eco Taxi, Dwójki, Krak Taxi). However, if you want to pay for the course with a credit card, you must make sure when ordering a taxi that a driver will have a payment terminal. Not all dispatchers and drivers speak English.

The minimum journey time is 15 minutes, but there is a high risk of major delays due to traffic jams.

A journey with one stopover. First take the bus number 252, then go to the tram stop and take the tram number 18 or 52. 

The bus no. 252 runs from the Kraków Airport every hour from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and the fare is 6 PLN (approx. 1,5 Euro, a 90-minute agglomeration ticket). You have to get on the bus at the Kraków Lotnisko / Airport bus stop. You must get off the bus at the Centrum Kongresowe ICE bus stop. Then you must cross the street to get to the Centrum Kongresowe ICE tram stop (see the map below). Now take the tram no 18 or 52 in the direction of Czerwone Maki P+R. You must get off the tram at the Chmieleniec stop.

Bus/tram change The end of the journey

A journey with one stopover. First take the train to the Kraków Główny central railway station, then go to the tram stop and take the tram number 52

Trains run from the Kraków Airport to Kraków Główny every half hour from 5:00 a.m. to 00:00 a.m. and the fare is 9 PLN (about 2 Euro). Detailed information on connections including timetables can be found on the Malopolskiekoleje.pl website (English version available). You can buy your ticket at the airport using: 

  • a ticket machine in the passenger terminal, level 0 (a cash payment or a payment with a credit/debit card);
  • a ticket machine at the railway station (a cash payment or a payment with credit/debit card);
  • a train conductor on board (cash payment only).
